Show Enoch Cadet Attends ROTC Camp in Washington Cadet Evan J. Matheson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen J. Matheson, Enoch is gaining experience in military 1 leadership at the Army ROTC Advanced Camp, Fort Lewis, Wash. The six-week training program is designed to present cadets with "hands-on" "hands-on" training which cannot be presented on a college campus. While at camp, cadets will learn orienteering, land navigation, individual and small unit tactics, first aid, drill and ceremony, and fire a variety of weapons. Upon completion of camp, some cadets will be commissioned com-missioned as second lieutenants. Others will return to their schools to complete their senior year and will be commissioned upon graduation. Matheson is enrolled in ROTC at Brigham Young University, Provo. He is a 1975 graduate of Cedar City High School. |
