To assure that on going conservation practices are providing effective solutions to soil and water problems in Beaver County, members of the Agricultural Conservation Conser-vation Program Development Develop-ment Group met recently to examine the practices. In examining the practices, prac-tices, the ACP group considered con-sidered public benefits, the need to halt soil and water loss, and the need to reduce re-duce agricultural pollution, Ross Marshall, Chairperson of the county ASC committee commit-tee said. The ASCS conservation program provides enduring solutions to soil and water conservation and agriculture-related pollution problems. prob-lems. The program provides both financial and technical assistance to farmers whose lands are in need of soil and water conserving practices or has pollution problems. Mr. Marshall said the county committee encourages encourag-es farmers to correct these problems and where needed, shares with them the cost of applying conservation practices.
