Show RACD Vacations . must end so Auntie Becky Williams and family took her niece home to Vegas and spent a couple of days visiting. When Jeannie Wheeler brought the new baby boy home, her mother arrived to help out for a week. Her father came on the weekend from Monroe and then they went back. A week with no visitors, then her sister and family arrived for a few days. Much talking over all the good times. Well, the Team Roping Rop-ing is almost over. The 24th of July In Lund didn't work out right. Dave Eldriedge, Phil Heckethorn, Ladd Da-vies, Da-vies, Ken Greenhall, they tried. Phil and Dave won the hide race and 4th in Wild Cow Milking, while Ken took 2nd. Evelene Eldridge. got 5th in goat tying. But no matter how many scrapes and cuts, it was loads of fun. The 24th of July brought visitors. Donna Corey and grandchildren were at Gen Richardson's. It was cooler cool-er than in Salt Lake. Also from the City, our son in law, Gary West, brought our two grandkids down, and their mother, Ju-di Ju-di met them here. She is working in Vegas at the hos -pital. She Is our other R.N.v Pat Gonder was host to her mother and father for two days. The Tanners were here from Goldfield, Nevada. Mollie and Wayne Gonder were up Baker Creek with the cattle, but they come down every other day. Now they spent the last week here, as grandson had to go home. The Faber's flew in from Yuba City to take him home. We went to Salt Lake to the Swap Meet on the 2nd. Fred had a grand time selling sell-ing all the stuff he took in. He even went double or nothing noth-ing with Big Fred, of Hinckley. Hinck-ley. Hope the blinders are working. Chester Wheeler is getting get-ting better fast. Good care from wife, Lorene. Carolyn and husband with two children chil-dren are down from Canada to help with the ranch work and help make father better. The horse show In Ely over this past weekend called call-ed the fellows to do their stuff. Carl, Glenn and Tom Dearden went, Ladd Davies and Ken Greenhall did their bit. Sadness has once again come Into our valley. Buck Roberts, of Baker, was called call-ed home. He is going to be missed by all. He was an Ely firefighter, and ran the Baker Service, with wife; Sunny. Deputy Cox and the 3 EMTs from Milford did a good job at the accident on the 29th. Remember you'll never offend a person by returning a smile. |
