Show CLOSED FIRE SEASON UNDERWAY The Beaver County Fire Warden for the 1981 season sea-son Is Ray Whiting. Mr. Whiting resides in Milford with his family. As Fire Warden he would like to . deliver the following message mes-sage concerning the 1981 fire season. Recognizing that the fire season is approaching, and that the forest, range and watersheds of Utah are vulnerable vul-nerable to damage by wildfire, wild-fire, Paul Sjoblm,. the State Forester, has designated the period, June 1 to October Octo-ber 31, as a closed Fire Season. During the closed fire season it shall be a misdemeanor to set on fire or cause to be set on fire any inflammable material on any forest, brush, range, grass, grain, stubble or hay without first securing a written perm it from the State Forester or designated deputy. Permits for Beaver Co. may be obtained from the District Fire Warden.Ray Whiting byphoning387-2374. Burning permits are not a means of restricting the public from open burning. It is however, a way by which all fire fighting agencies are made aware of your controlled con-trolled burn, thus reducing the need and cost of fire fighters responding to a reported re-ported fire which turns out to be a controlled fire. A written permit also allows the fire control officer a chance to meet with you and assist you in establishing guidelines for a safe, controlled con-trolled fire. Areas within the city limits li-mits are under the jurisdiction juris-diction of the city fire department. de-partment. City residents should contact officials before be-fore attempting a. controlled control-led burn to receive local guidelines for burning.
