Show Goncor doicGiion elinie sof A new program for the early detection of cancer will be inaugurated In Beaver Beav-er County June 22 and 23. It Is sponsored by the Southwestern South-western Utah Health District and will be under the direction di-rection of Rhea Gray. The program will consist of a breast exam and Pap Smear, administered by specially trained registered nurses. Plans call for a clinic of this type to be set up In Beaver County every six months. Individual cost will range from zero to ten dollars based upon yearly income. The clinic will be held at the Belknap School in Beav er, Monday, June 22, and in MinersviUe at the Elem'-entary Elem'-entary school on Tuesday, June 23. The sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue con-tinue through the noon hour until 5 p.m. Appointments are necessary neces-sary for this program. Also time schedules have been alloted according to where you live. Following is the schedule for your community communi-ty together with the name and phone of the erson you should call to make your appointment. ap-pointment. If you cannot fit your time to the schedule contact the person making appointments for the time that would be convenient for you. The Southwestern Utah Health District recommends that women under fifty have a Pap Smear exam at least once every three years,and those over fifty once a year. |
