If the Beavers knock off Parowan, North Sevier and a gutty Milford squad, they will earn the right to host the quarterfinal game on Oct. 31, with South Summit, No. Summit or ParkCity, whomever whom-ever is the third place team from Region Eleven. BHS grabbed five TDs and 4 PAT's in a convincing 34-15 34-15 victory over Kanab last Friday at the Cowboy's Home coming. The Beavers dominated the contest, rushing for 276 yards and passing for 66 yards, while the Cowboys only managed to pick up 68 on the ground and 82 through the air. Freshman quarterback, Steve Hutchings, filled in for injured Mark Fuller, who is still healing from a shoulder shoul-der injury. Hutchings was q,uite impressive as he calm -ly drilled two TD passes to Jess Cox and David Eyre. Cox scooped in the first TD pass for 39 yards and Eyre snatched the other pass for 29 yards. Burton Myers, who was moved to the tailback spot, plunged for a two yard score and an eleven yard scamper. Craig Blackner, who has been averaging about 10 tackles per game took advantage ad-vantage of a Cowboy fum ble and darted 22 yards for the final Beaver Score. Myers kicked four PATs and had one blocked for the Beaver's extra points. The Cowboys managed to get on the board when young Kevin Bunting connected with Gary Glover on a short pass Later Glover kicked a field goal adding three more to the Kanab attack. But Beaver's Bea-ver's 21-9 lead going into the second half was insur- mountable. Even though he added seven more points on a keeper in the final period, per-iod, Beaver's additional two touchdowns stymied any threat by the Cowboys to take the lead. Beaver meets Parowan tomorrow to-morrow night at Beaver, and travels to Grantsville next Wednesday for a final encounter en-counter with the 2-A ranks.
