Show fefllGS'8 Days of the Old West seem to be current in the Milford area. Sheriff Wally Fotherlng-ham Fotherlng-ham and Net Craw, brand inspector, have been searching for the corral where some molested earmarked ear-marked calves have been held during the winter. Five calves, with ear marks and brand markings changed, have recently been picked up in a south Milford field. Stealing or molesting cattle can be a very serious ser-ious offense. Penalties are severe. Persons stealing or molesting mol-esting cattle with motor bikes, or otherwise interfering inter-fering with livestock, will be prosecuted. A reward is offered for information leading to arrest ar-rest of those involved In stealing cattle. Law enforcement officers of-ficers report that some animals have been butchered butch-ered in the fields. This not only carries a severe penalty, but may be hazardous haz-ardous as well. One such incident reported found that the animal had been dipped dip-ped in chemicals for lice and grubs the day before. The chemicals cause a severe se-vere reaction, and the an-mal an-mal is not to be eaten for at least 35 days. Anyone witnessing or having knowledge of cattle theft, alteration of brands or markings, are asked to contact your law enforcement enforce-ment officials.
