Show grandchildren, Amy and Ryan. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bailey and Karen Bailey held a Mothers Day dinner for Judy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Whittaker. Family members attending were; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Whittaker Whit-taker and son, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Whittaker and family. fam-ily. The dinner was held Sat -ruday, May 10, at the home of Mi1, and Mrs. Ron Bailey. Lillian Cook accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jesse to Lodl, Calif, to attend the funeral fu-neral services held for a member of the family. Mrs. Bertha Cottrell and Neva Kinross made a trip to Cedar City on business May 7th. Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel Coon recently returned home from spending the winter months in southern Calif. They visited Myrtle's daughter daugh-ter Margaret and son-in-law Lloyd and family in Palos Verdes. They also spent time with Blair and Joyce and family in Mirada. Frieda Tolman and son Juddy spent Saturday, May 10, visiting her daughter, Alicia Coon. Marie Kennedy spent Sunday, Sun-day, May 4, with her brother, Dell Hatch of Price, Utah. From there she went to Salt Lake to spend three days with her husband, then traveled tra-veled on to Wendover where her husband was stationed to work. She arrived back home the following Friday. Marie Kennedy spent Mothers Mo-thers Day in St. George with her mother. She also visited with her brothers and sisters sis-ters there. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Paice visited relatives in Calif, recently. They visited his mother, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rose In Northrldge, Calif., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bryant of Mar-Vista, Mar-Vista, his sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Dicky, a brother, Darryl, and her sister, Nancy Bryant and son. Jeff has joined the Army and Is due to leave for Fort Ord, Calif. May 20. He will then be stationed In Georgia at Ft. Gordon. After basic he will then be stationed at Ft. Sill, OK. His family will stay In Milford until his training is completed. The News has a new Milford Mil-ford in Motion correspondent correspond-ent starting with this issue. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Welch and daughter Sheryl and son Kyle from Reno spent last week here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gilllns. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Normand Thompson. Jane Myers received a lovely Gardenia house plant from her son, William and Chony Limb and son of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Tom-' Tom-' sik of Salt Lake announce the birth of a new son, born May 2nd. He has been named Jeremy Paul and joins a brother bro-ther and sister at home. Grandparents are Bob and Verna Tomsik of Milford. Mrs. Rosalie Klein of Berkeley, Ber-keley, Calif, arrived last Wednesday to spend Mothers Day with her 80 year old mother, Mrs. Ethel Smith. She is spending a week here visiting and also will visit her brother, John W. Smith, in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Roberts, Rob-erts, Ruby and Garry, of Layton, Ut. and Mrs. Audrey Goodwin of Lehi were at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roberts, and brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Roberts, for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper Rop-er were recent visitors at the home of their son, Mer- rill Roper and family In Murray, Mur-ray, Utah. They also attended attend-ed the christening of a great-granddaughter great-granddaughter on Sunday, May 4th. On the return trip home they visited Mrs. Roper's Rop-er's brother, Marvin Sheriff, Sher-iff, in Orem, two brothers in Nephl, a sister of Mr. Roper's in Delta and also a sister In Deseret, Ut. They arrived back home the 6th. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Aagard were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Aagard and daughter Madolyn in Bountiful. Bounti-ful. They also visited Bill's father, Niels Aagard of Le-Van, Le-Van, where they were joined by son, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Aagard and family and also Carl Merriweather and family. fam-ily. On the 1st of May, Susan Atkin hosted a meeting of the Jeepettes. Mrs. Shirley Robbins demonstrated the techniques of Yoga. Afterwards After-wards light refreshments were served. Those attending attend-ing the meeting were; Utahna Asay, Vicki Fotheringham, Pat Nielson, Margaret Lund, Mrs. Sharon Olpln, and Zelda Coon. Mr. Doug Bolton of Cedar City brought his mother, Helen Bolton, home Saturday, Satur-day, May 10th. He also visited visit-ed his children, Robbie and Cindy Bolton, and his daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Robert and Debra Thompson and |
