Show Thompson. Thomas and Elaine Brad-field Brad-field and four children of Las Vegas were here visiting visit-ing their friends, Harlan and Norma Thomas, during New Years. Blake and Terry Madsen and two children drove to her parents' home in Oxnard, Calif, for the Christmas Correspondent Doris Horlacher holidays and also visited with many relatives in that area while there. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Talt and sons, Doug and wife Ailene, and Garland, drove to Enterprise, Central and Gunlock visiting parents and family the Sunday before Christmas. Jim and Carolyn Skillicorn drove to Las Vegas, Nev. for the Christmas holidays staying stay-ing and visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Gray. Irene Stewart is proud to announce the birth of a new great-grandson, Sheldon Bruce Stewart, born Dec. 31 in the Granger hospital to Dennis and Judee Stewart. Enjoying New Years dinner din-ner at the home of Irene Stewart were Mr. and Mrs. John Jimenez and family, James Stewart, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jimenez. Jim and Dora Smithson and Mrs. Katherine Forgie spent two days in Fillmore at Christmas-time visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Rowley. Wally and Vickie Fother-ingham Fother-ingham celebrated New Years Eve with a big turkey dinner and all the trimmings for twenty five members of the A A group. Among the guests was Wally's sister, Helen Wellington of Salt Lake City, who was here visiting at their home through the holidays. Frances Smithson ( spent the Christmas holidays with a friend, Nelouise Schow, in Cedar City. Joe and Emma Smith spent New Years Day in Cedar City at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holmes and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson An-derson and son Norman stopped to visit Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Becky and three children of Bountiful and Gary and Jackie Smith of Mesa, Ariz, were at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, through the Christmas holidays. holi-days. Monday, Dec. 23, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper drove to Murray to the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Merrill Roger and family for a Christmas visit, returning home late Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Burns (Ma-dona) (Ma-dona) Roper were here to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs Henry Roper, on Saturday, Sat-urday, Dec. 28. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Singleton Single-ton of Enterprise, Utah stayed stay-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Reed . Gillins while he was relieving reliev-ing Section Foreman Usher Wilcock on the South Milford section for the UPRR. Allan Smith of Provo and St. George was a dinner guest at the David R Horlacher home on New Years Eve. The Ronald Bailey family hosted a family New Years Stake dinner at their home on New Years Eve. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lar-ry Whittaker, Mr. and Mrs. Alden and Donna Hardy of Granger and their daughter, Annette Hardy, and a granddaughter grand-daughter Melissa, were here visiting Donna's parents, Lester and Evon Williams, through the holidays. Lester and Evon received phone calls on Christmas Day from their children; Barbara of Tenn.; Maurice in Missouri; Linda in Farmington, Utah; Janette of Springville; and a grandson, Steven of Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Usher Wilcock Wil-cock have been on a two-week two-week vacation visiting relatives rela-tives in the northern part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Joel Dunlap and baby son of Provo have been here for the New Years holiday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Usher Wilcock. Brad and Shirley Whittaker Whit-taker and son Darin of Cedar City were here to spend the New Years holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Whittaker. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Walker and son Davey of Kanabwere here visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Walker, Walk-er, through the New Years holiday. Mr. and Mrs. John Walker and daughters Krystal and Cindy of Kearns have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schaidt, through the holiday season. They also visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Walker. Clyde Turner and son Russell Rus-sell of Las Vegas came up to see the Piute -Milford basketball bas-ketball game last Friday and stayed for a two -day visit with his mother, Mrs. Mabel Turner. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tom-sik Tom-sik were In New Plymouth, Idaho through the Christmas holidays visiting their daughter, Ted and Bonnie Myers and four children. They stopped on their way home in Ogden to see Ver-na's Ver-na's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Bird. Doug Bolton of Cedar City was here to visit his daughter daugh-ter and family, Robert and Debbie Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Normand Thompson and family were recent dinner guests at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Harris of Mlnersville. Mrs. Lillian Fothering-ham Fothering-ham of Cedar City was here to visit her daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Thompson and Betty and Jack Davis and families, for the holidays. holi-days. Yvonne is the daughter of Eldon Burke. Also visiting Kent and Faure Anderson were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Anderson and three children, who moved from Milford to Ephriam. Beatrice Acord spent the New Years Day at the home of her daughter, Faure Anderson. An-derson. Beatrice Acord celebrated her 81st birthday anniversary, anniver-sary, Saturday, Jan. 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown and two daughters of Cedar City were here to stay overnight during Christmas and to enjoy dinner with her parents and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Beatrice Acord. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ack-lin Ack-lin spent the Christmas weekend in Salt Lake City at his parents home, Tom and Lisa Acklin. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Aagard spent the Christmas holidays with their two sons and families, fam-ilies, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Aagard and Mr. and Mrs. Brent Aagard in Granger and Bountiful. Steve and Katherine Inman spent the Christmas holidays at Granger with their daughter daugh-ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Aagard. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Wright of Ogden were visiting visit-ing his mother, Nora Wright, and her parents, Bishop and Mrs. Sheldon Albrecht, through the New Years holi-" holi-" day. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wright and family entertained Denny Den-ny and Joyce Wright and their mother, Nora Wright, with a turkey dinner in Beaver. Roger and Kay Williams and daughter Jennifer of Cedar Ce-dar City were here through the holidays visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. I." Williams. Also down from Salt Lake City was their son, Charles. Wendy Williams was also here for the holidays. holi-days. She has returned Jan. 6 to SUSC in Cedar City. Jim Stoddard, Mr. and Mrs. Chad Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stoddard, Jim Bailey and friend, Phillip Bailey, and Shanna Walker. Games were played and the evening enjoyed en-joyed by all. Dennis Aim spent the holidays holi-days in Salt Lake City. Joeline Cervantes brought her mother, Rowena Winn, home from Lamlta, Calif, where she had been visiting through the holiday. Elmo Smith on their way to Mexico for their vacation. Pearl Stevens of Parowan was here during the Christmas Christ-mas week at the home of her daughter, Bryan and Helen Sherwood and family. Christmas holiday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Crane were their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Nielson of Laramie, Lar-amie, Wyo. Pre-Christmas visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Pool were his daughter daugh-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. C. McWhorter; also their daughter Julie andhus-band, andhus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dodson and their two children, child-ren, Jon and Jennifer. The McWhorter s are from Denver Den-ver and the Dodsons from Baywood Park, Calif. Meeting Meet-ing here at Milford, the families fam-ilies were able to get acquainted ac-quainted with the new .baby Jennifer, just six weeks old. This is the 3rd grandchild for the McWhorters and the 14th great-grandchild for the Pools, something they are very proud of. Both families left Milford In time to reach their respective homes for Christmas. |
