It hardly seems possible" that we are Into 1975 already, al-ready, but time goes on while we remember what we should have done or will be doing! New Year's Eve celebrations' were going on in Beaver on December 31st as they were all over the country. The only youngpeople who seem-; ed to get things together were First Ward, and they celebrated cele-brated In fine style. Leo and Naomi White held a dinner , and party at their home, hosting Beth and Jim Morgan, Mor-gan, Rosemary and BiUWilJ Hams, Ruth and Wayne Crook, Gail and Rick Webster, Web-ster, Dixie and Fred Harris, and Naomi's nelce, Diana Anderson and her roommate, Mary. The Clark Smith's also al-so hosted a party. Third Ward took their young people ice skating on the cold, windy afternoon of December 31. About 25 youth and leaders enjoyed the outing, out-ing, especially the chili and hot punch served at Dry Farm Lake. Second Ward young people went sledding on that same afternoon in Merchant Valley. This activity ac-tivity is always a fun one and those attending enjoyed the opportunity. Howard White's Sunday School class went sledding on January 4th, giving giv-ing more boys and girls a fun time In that white stuff. School resumed on Jan. 2 and life got back to its normal nor-mal agenda. The high school wrestling team met Pan-guitch Pan-guitch on Thursday and won quite easily 53-3. Beaver's basketball team also played this week on Friday, going to Bryce Valley where they were narrowly defeated, 57-52. 57-52. Mr. and Mrs. GeraldAsh-worth GeraldAsh-worth of Provo, son of Mr. John Ashworth, brother of Mr. Fay Ashworth and Mrs. Beth Morgan, visited in Beaver on Sunday, Jan. 5, on their way to Las Vegas for a few days of vacation. Bonnie Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Os-born, Os-born, came down to Beaver with brother, Blair Osborn, from American Fork to visit vis-it family here. - Mr. and Mrs. Ken Barton had several family members here for this past holiday. Among them were daughter Faye and husband Keith Hen -rie from Calif. Keith is a first cousin of Dr. Terrle Henrie of Beaver. Mary Yardley has returned return-ed to her teaching job in Lasi Vegas after a holiday visit with her brothers, Floyd, Calvin, Charles, Dale, and David Yardley. Mr. and Mrs. H. Terrie, parents of LaRue Hill, were here Sunday for the blessing of their new grandson, Rodney Rod-ney Vernon. LaRue and husband hus-band Vernon and daughter Dana are new residents of Beaver. Seminary teacher Jim Hawkes and his wife and two children returned from spending the vacation in Idaho Ida-ho with relatives. They were unfortunate with car trouble and illness, but enjoyed seeing see-ing friends and relatives.
