Show life Issues In our area and upcoming activities. The next scheduled meeting Is February Feb-ruary 27th, In the basementof the Library at 7:30 p. m. If the turnout Is good, there will be an election of officers. A film will be shown entitled "Deer Family of North America". Amer-ica". The new night hunting and trapping regulations will be discussed. All are welcome and enouraged to attend. Wednesday in every month and will be discussing wild- by Mike Dunbar NIGHT -HUNTING OUTLAWED As County Commissioners meet thorughout the state of Utah, night-hunting is being outlawed county by county. 1 Over half of the counties in ' the state are now closed to all hunting at night with art- , ificlal light. Here in south- i west Utah,,' 5 out of 9 coun- i ties are closed and it has ' been predicted that within the ' next two months, all counties ( in the state will be closed to night-hunting. At present in southwest Utah, the closed ' counties are Garfield, Iron, 1 Piute, Sevier and Wayne. ( Counties open, as of January 24, are Beaver, Kane, Millard i and Washington. Beaver coun- 1 ty is tentatively scheduled to ' close to night hunting about May 1. . " However, at present, in Beaver county, permits are still being issued and the night ' hunting laws are being en- forced. , WILDLIFE MEETING SCHEDULED The Milford Wildlife Pro- j tectlve Association is reorganizing re-organizing and trying to swing into action in 1974. This once powerful organization is attempting to regroup its members and start having a strong voice in this county and state as far as our wildlife wild-life and environmental issues are concerned. Of course it Is not all work. The sportsmen sports-men In this group are planning activities for the upcoming year that should be fun and exciting for the whole family. The group meets the fourth |
