Show !Las Vegas to be in attendance at the farewell for their grandson, grand-son, Melvin Bonn. A birthday party for Ethel Mathews was held at her home Wednesday evening. Those present were LaRue Thompson, Thomp-son, June Griffiths, Lela Evans, Ev-ans, Devota Hesllngton, and k Drucella Carter. A very en-f en-f Joyable evening was spent in L visiting. ' Verda Mae Myers, Salt Lake City, has been visiting her ' brothers, Em and Vendon My - ers and families and her sister " LaRue Thompson for a few days. Her brother Vendon took her home Sunday. A baby girl weighing 8 12 lbs. was born to Gary and April (Dotson) Elmer in Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho on Feb. 8. Grand-I Grand-I parents are Ruben and Emily . Kay and Diane Cummings, ' Cedar City, visited Sunday j with their parents, Keith and ' Shirley Hollingshead. Sunday visitors at the home of their parents, Vaughn and I Jane Griffiths, were daughters Nancy George and Vickie Hutchings and families of Beaver. Speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday afternoon were Wayne and Sandra Warby of Beaver. Visitors at the home of Em and Shirley Myers over the weekend were Leta Blake, St. George and Jay Atkin, Las Vegas. Imelda Banks has gone to Salt Lake to spend a week visiting her husband, Wells Banks, who is working there. Wayne and Merle Gillins went to Las Vegas Saturday to attend a farewell testimony meeting on Sunday for Melvin Bonn, son of Kurtt and Jean-nine Jean-nine Bohn, who is going on a, mission to the Tennessee-Kentucky Tennessee-Kentucky area. A surprise birthday party for Chad Dalton was heldFri-day heldFri-day night at the home of Rodney Rod-ney Carter. Chad was 13 years old. Bishop and Mrs. Earl Limb spent a week at the St. George Temple doing endowment work. American Legion Auxiliary held their meeting at the home of Virginia Marshall. Pres. Marybelle Eyre was In charge. The Pledge of Allegiance was given, the Star Spangled Banner Ban-ner was sung and the Preamble recited. Business at hand was taken care of. Afterwards refreshments re-freshments were served to those present. Ranae Jacks, granddaughter of Gordon Blackburn, a former resident of Minersville who is deceased, was in town Thursday Thurs-day gathering geneology from Delbert and Effie Jameson and Doug and Elma Blackburn. Charles and Vlrgene Jame- ' son were in Salt Lake Thursday Thurs-day and Friday for Charles to have a medical check-up. Allen and Colleen Jameson and Brent andDiane Chandler, Bountiful, visited Saturday with Delbert and Effie Jameson. Jame-son. The two couples had been to St. George attending two sessions at the temple. Irma Eyre is back home again having been released from the University Medical Hospital following surgery. She is much improved. Ella Wood has been released releas-ed from the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake and is now living at the Mllford Hospital. Ellis and Roene Nelson and family spent a few days visiting visit-ing their folks in Star Valley, Wyoming. Gordon and Ann Eyre and children, Las Vegas, spent the weekend at the home of Thurman and Irma Eyre. Kendall Eyre was home from school visiting his parents, par-ents, Garold and Marybelle Eyre. ' At the home of Randall and Lovena Banks over the weekend week-end was their daughter Nellie Holllnger and her son, Ber-nell Ber-nell and wife of Salt Lake. Lew and June Griffiths have gone to Oakland, Calif, to visit June's sister and family.
