Show down In that caddy. Owen and Pat Gonder and children took a winter vacation vaca-tion and drove to Calif, for a week. Had a nice vacation away from this snow. Molly and Wayne Gonder left early Thursday and they went to Calif, also. Wayne to REA meetings and Molly to all those lovely stores. Don and Muriel Davles and girls stopped In for lunch with Fred and I on Saturday. They were on a hurried trip to southern Calif, to a funeral. Don wants to buy a ranch out this way, as he Is fed up with the big city life, and the girls want a place to keep their horses. It has been such beautiful weather -sunny -that it makes you feel that it's time to turn the soil and plant the flowers, but guess we better wait a little longer. It's hard to try and dig frozen ground. Helen and Del Young took a drive to Salt Lake to visit family and It sounded such a good Idea, that 2 hours later, Fred, Baron,. Princess and Slave (that's me) also took the long drive. We left Monday AM and the next morning -10" of snow. We must be living right. There isn't much to see in our town, but what you hear makes up for it. Carl Dearden returned the weekenders to school early Monday morning and then shortly after he left Aleeda, his wife, took his oldest son Tom in, as he was in pain. Well, Tom ended up In the hospital In Provo, but he is now on the almost well list. Vera and Vivian Dearden have been down forafewdays. Vivian helped Bill Dearden get the cattle in from the desert. Vera visited all and she looks and feels fine. Guess that Salt Lake life agrees with them both. Ranch business brought Lee and Zelma Dearden up through here from Willow Beach and they took Vera back to Salt Lake with them. Vivian stayed on an extra two days, then drove home on Thursday. With the new speed law, Lee, you do not add Hinckley speed of 40 to state speed of 55 and then drive 90! Better slow |
