Show Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborne spent Sunday in Milford. While there they visited with Mrs. Stoker and Billie's sjster and husband Mr. and Mrs. Tommy James. They also went to Beaver, Bea-ver, Utah and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Yardley. Wilburn Gould and the oil well crew are back in the va -ley to resume work. Boise Hessclgesser from New Boston .Texas is in Baker visiting vis-iting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hessclgesser and his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hessclgesser and friends. Rhoda Terry went to Prdvo on Saturday when she heard about her sister's (Enid) husband hus-band passing away. Merlin Terry joined her later to attend at-tend the funeral services on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborne spent Christmas in Cedar City with Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Stoker Stok-er and family. There was no primary this week because of bad weather. Darwin Wheeler has been released re-leased from his Canadian Mission Mis-sion and is now home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler in Garrison. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Tanner are on a week's vacation in Calif. Don Taylor, old time resident resi-dent of Baker died. Funeral services were held on Wednesday Wednes-day in Ely, Nevada. The power crew "Bellgrade Enterprise" are back in the valley working again. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hessel-gesser Hessel-gesser went to Ely Tuesday to attend to business. Bill Mau and McHenry from Las Vegas spent New Years in Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osbornt spent New Year's in Pioche, Nevada with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stewart and family and Mrs. Carol Stewart. Rick Jorden has returned to Current Creek to work with the power crew. Hcdy Coffman spent several clays in Ely visiting with old friends and attended tht funeral funer-al services lor Don Taylor. Pauline Aquiso has been taking tak-ing care of the Post Office while Hedy was gone. Mr. and Mrs. Gohmer Thomas Thom-as from Salt Lake City, spent several days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Baker at the state line. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Long returned re-turned to their home in Baker after a visit in Calif. Virginia Eldridge went to Salt Lake City this week to attend to some business there. Mag Hesselgesser and Arlee Hesselgesser went to Ely on Wednesday. Lillian Brumbley and Barbara Bar-bara Gregson went to Salt Lake City the first part of this week to attend to business. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baker spent several days in Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eames are spending the winter in Southern Sou-thern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, Oxborrow and Ted Green visited vis-ited with friends in the Baker area over the New Year weekend. week-end. Sharleen Eldridge and her daughter went to Delta one day last week. Everyone who attended, enjoyed en-joyed the New Years Eve party held at the Y Motor Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hatfield spent several days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Pete Aquiso in Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden left Wednesday morning for Willow Beach. They plan on spending the rest of the Winter there. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Rowley and two daughters, Kim and Lynnett spent Tuesday night in Las Vegas, Nevada and the rest of the week in Arcadia, Calif., visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Herb Barnes and family. |
