THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE , As Reported By GWEN PRYOR Mrs. Lillian McKnight, who is teaching at West Jordan, spent Sunday in Minersville, after she and Stan had spent the holidays with their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs, David McKnight, in San Diego, Calif, Mrs. Edith Bradfield has returned after spending the holidays with her grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Veri and Bonnie (Carter) (Car-ter) Holdaway, in Hunter. Russell Lamb and two friends of Henderson, Nev., spent the week end with his grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Harry Thompson, O Miss Noreen Gubler of St. George spent New Year's with her fiance, Justin Gray, and his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Del-mar Del-mar Gray. Newly elected Mayor Daisel Davis, and two new council-men, council-men, Marshall Hollingshead and Delmar Gray, were sworn in and assumed the duties of their office at the Town Board meeting Monday, Jan. 3. Holdover counpijmen are Thur-man Thur-man Eyre and Leon Thompson, e Christie Erickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Doug Erickson, Erick-son, celebrated her first birthday, birth-day, Jan. 5. Mrs. Loneva Banks spent the holidays in Los Angeles with her grandchildren. Randall Banks visited his children in Salt Lake, Drag-erton Drag-erton and Kanab during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Banks have returned after a week's visit in Salt Lake with their children. Bart Hollingshead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hollingshead, Hollings-head, celebrated his 10th birthday birth-day with a party on Dec. 29. Mrs. Jeanne Wilden and sons of Las Vegas spent several days visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Edwards. John Griffiths, also of Las Vegas, accompanied his sister to Min ersville. Mrs. Amanda Nolder received word of the birth of a new great-grandson, bom Christmas Day, to Dr. and Mrs. Alan Farnsworth in Mesa, Ariz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. S. Taylor Farnsworth of Beaver Bea-ver and Mr. and Mrs. Brose Dalton of Mesa. p Mr. and Mrs. Norman Banks and family of Salt Lake spent the New Year holiday with his mother, Mrs. Armina Banks. Carl Murdock of Orem visited vis-ited his mother, Mrs. Cassie McKnight, on New Year's Day. e Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gillins " and children of Kearns spent the holiday week end with their parents, Mr, and Mrs. Jule Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Lambson. Mrs. Ruth Dotson, her father, fath-er, Laban Burt, and her son Ward motored to Henderson last week to visit her son In law and daugter, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Sisneros. O Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dalton of Las Vegas visited his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Amanda Nolder, last Sunday. At Fast and Testimony meeting Sunday the son of John and DeAnna (Potter) Elam was blessed and named Albert Blake Elam. Two children, chil-dren, Jody Lee Eyre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Eyre, and Thurman Dean Eyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Eyre, were confirmed members of the LDS Church.
