A. Symond during tne holidays. Holiday guests at the Harold .Edwards home were their two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hollingshaus and baby Mathew of Fremont, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Weston of Sale Lake; also Mrs. Edwards' mother, moth-er, Mrs. Leone Lyman of Par-owan. Par-owan. Bob and Lorna Whiteside of Tooele have their first child, Gary Scott, born Dec. 10. Maternal Ma-ternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Hollingshead. Mrs. Hollingshead was in Tooele to assist the family. Zola Baudino and children spent two weeks with her husband hus-band Raeldon in Kelso, Calif., where he is employed by the Union Pacific. Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilcock were a son in law and daughter, Ross and Judith Workman of Cedar City; a son John Dee, who is teaching in the Burns, Oregon, high cshool; and a son in law and daughter, LeRoy and Pat Griffiths and three children of Murray. The Griffiths left their children with Mr. and Mrs. Wilcock while they enjoyed en-joyed a trip to Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Griffiths Grif-fiths are back in Milford, after Mrs. Griffiths spent a week in a Murray hospital. She became be-came ill while they were in Salt Lake attending a convention. conven-tion. They spent Christmas with their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Griffiths, Grif-fiths, in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bird received word that their son Kim is engaged to Miss Lani Banonis of San Gabriel, Calif. No date has been set for the wedding. Ron and Judy Gilliam have moved to Ly nr. wood, Calif., where Mr. Gilliam is employed. Mrs. D. L. Kesler is in Salt Lake visiting her daughters, Mrs. Lareene Kersh and Mrs. Mary Jane Edwards. Paul Mecham, who is stationed sta-tioned at Fort Benning, Ga., visited Mr. and Mrs. Max Mecham over the holidays, and in Beaver was with his wife, the former Peggy Roberts. Also here during the holidays was Mr. Mecham's sister, Mrs. Kay Lomax of Salt Lake, who also visited her father, Leonard Leon-ard Mecham, in the Milford Valley Hospital. Dick and Toni Lynn Rollins of Salt Lake visited parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kizer and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rollins during dur-ing the holidays. Also at the Rollins home and visiting Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Crane were Bob and Ileen Rollins of Salt Lake. Jimmy Murdock ,son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murdock, is at Fort Douglas awaiting flight to the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. Mr. Murdock Mur-dock and his sister, Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Davis and baby of South Milford, spent a few days in Tooele with their brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Brunson. Doug Bedingfield went to Salt Lake to visit Billie before he left for boot camp. e Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Black-ner Black-ner and two children of Salt Lake spent the holidays with her mother, Mrs. LaPrele Lewis. Dec. 30 Mrs. Lewis became ill and was admitted to the Cedar City hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mayer were in Bakersfield, Calif., on business, and visited Mr. Mayer's May-er's mother and sisters while there. 9 Troy Lynn Miller was born Dec. 10 in Maywood, Calif., to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller. Grandmother Maurine Miller was there to assist at the time. Other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Van Tassell, have also been to Maywood to see the newcomer. Mrs. Maurine Miller is now in Maywood because be-cause of the illness of her son Fred. e Mr. and Mrs. David Pullem and four children of Salt Lake spent the Christmas and New Year holidays in Milford with Mr. and Mrs. Byron Pullem. Marilyn Moore and boy friend of Salt Lake and Joyce Moore of Logan spent the holidays hol-idays with parents Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Moore. Doug Cook, after spending the holidays in Milford and Salt Lake, has received orders transferring him to France. Mrs. Mae Colborn is visiting her children in California. e Mrs. Sue Ann Skeen will remain in Milford while her husband is serving with the U S Army in Korea. Mrs. Farrell Murie nad four children have joined her husband hus-band in Ophir, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart of South Milford have purchased pur-chased the Lettie Fothering-ham Fothering-ham home at 441 South 200 West. 0 Elwood Jefferson is receiving receiv-ing medical treatment at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake. Bob and Marge Schramm are grandparents again. An 8 lb 6 oz son was born Tuesday, Jan. 4, in Salt Lake to Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Schramm. They also have another son and a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Schramm were in Salt Lake during the Christmas holidays. Allen and Karen Mahoney have a 6 lb 10 oz daughter, born Dec. 21 in Cedar City. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mahoney of Salt Lake and Mrs. Lillian Mayer of Milford. Visiting the Merritt Beards during the holidays were her mother, Mrs. Mabel Hansen of Idaho Falls, and a sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller and five children, also of Idaho Falls. Spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Fowles were their sons, Doug, serving with the U S Navy at Alameda, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Arden Fowjes snd two daughters of Las Vegas. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Galloway Gal-loway and two children of Hunter were at the home of his parents during the holidays. holi-days. 9 Lorelei Stoddard Dawson was married last October to Clyde Dunkley. They are making mak-ing their home in Salt Lake. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rummler enjoyed a 10-day vacation at the home of a son and daughter daugh-ter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Gary .Rummler, in Milwaukee. Joining Join-ing the group were another son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rummler of Lansing, Lan-sing, Mich. Attending a family dinner on New Year's Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson were their son, Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson and daughter Valerie of Tooele; Doug and Elma Blackburn of Minersville; Bruce and Elma Jean Edwards of Beaver; Ben and Vera Cooper and Anna Rae, and her boy friend John Roberts. Norman, Kelvin and Pammy Hollis, children of Mr. and Mrs. Delos Hollis of La Mira-da, Mira-da, Calif., spent the holidays at the homes of grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis. Kim Coon of La Mirada, Calif., returned home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel Coon, for a three-day holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel Coon were New Year's guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hickman of Beaver. Also at the Hickman home on New Year's Eve were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Johnson of Beaver, and Mrs. Edythe Grlm-shaw. Grlm-shaw. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline joined the group on New Year's Day. Frank White was confined to the Good Samaritan hospital In Los Angeles for a week prior to Christmas. They returned re-turned to Milford on Dec. 22, and their son Boyd and family fam-ily of Canoga Park spent ten days here during the holidays. Mr. White's brother, Thorold White of Salt Lake, also was a holiday visitor. Mr. and Mrs. Frank White will leave this week end for Los Angeles, where Mr. White will receive additional medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bird and sons Rick and Todd spent the holidays with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Errol Bird and family in San Gabriel, Calif. They were joined by the Bird's other oth-er children, Kim, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; and Shelley and Barry of Glendale. Mrs. Elizabeth MvVay will return Thursday after a three month visit with her daughter, Mrs. Doris Kotangln, in San Francisco. Mr. Kontangian, who had been on military duty in Germany, returned to the U S on New Year's Day. Joyce Grimshaw, who is taking tak-ing an extension course as dental den-tal assistant at University College Col-lege of Los Angeles, was home for the holidays with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Grimshaw. Joyce is living with a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Grimshaw, in Los Angeles. Jack Miller has moved to Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. James C. Cook have moved to Flagstaff, Ariz. |
