Show calling on friends and relatives. LaRue Thompson is in Henderson, Hen-derson, Nevada, to help out with her daughter's family, while she is ill, Mrs. Lucille Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Jame-son celebrated their 45th wedding wed-ding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 2 Mrs. Jameson also celebrated a birthday on Sept. 1. A wedding reception honoring honor-ing David Myers and Patsy Ann Griffiths was held in the Minersville recreation hall, Friday, Fri-day, Aug. 30th. Mr. and Mr.i. Oren Myers of Roosevelt, Utah, visited with relatives in the county. Betty Murie and son, Philip, from Cedar City, were visiting at her parents home, Mr. and Mrs. George Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre motored to Elko, Nevada, to visit their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bow- cutt and daughter, and to attend at-tend the races while there. A cook-out was held at Big Maple, Monday, Aug. 3. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Garold Eyre, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jer-ry Eyre, and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Goff drove to Salt Lake to visit Mrs. Goff's parents who, are ill. Scott Pearson proved to be the Robin Hood of Minersville. as he shot a deer with his bow and arrow in the Beaver Mountains Moun-tains over the weekend. Hugh Blackburn of Salt Lake City also got his deer out west of Minersville. These were the only two reported so far this season. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Byron Limb and Jack L. Rushton, Jr., from Ely, Nevada, spent the weekend week-end visiting at the home of Howard "J" Pryor. They enjoyed en-joyed an outing in the Beaver Mountains on Labor Day. Over 100 were in attendance. attend-ance. Games and dancing were enjoyed, and homemade candy was served for refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor toured to Colorado Springs to visit wjth their daughter, Mrs. Wade Hodge and family, and son, Mr. Charles Ray Pryor and family. Mr. Mervin Baker and sons from Caliente, Nevada, visited over the Labor Day weekend with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raul Pearson Pear-son and Tony. Thirty members of the James V Wood family gathered at Kents Lake Sunday afternoon foi a reunion. A delicious hot meal was served and the remainder re-mainder of the day spent in visiting and reminiscing. Those 'attending were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson. Mr. and Mrs. Hex Limb and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Jameson. Allen and Bernard, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood and Vance, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wood and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson and Mr. and Mrs. Royle V. Wood and family of Henderson, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson Jame-son had as over night visitors on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Lor-aine Lor-aine DeMille of Henderson, Nevada. Ne-vada. C Mr. and Mrs. George Mar-ouardson Mar-ouardson and family of McGill, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Horten of Ogden, Utah, spent the Labor Day holiday with their mother, Jennie Mar-ouardson. Mar-ouardson. S Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Jameson Jame-son and Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson attended the Iron County Fair and race meet on Monday. It was also the 20th wedding anniversary of Delbert and Effie. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Milne accompanied by Hilda Nolan and Lorna Milne, all of Cedar City, were in town Sunday |
