ALPHABET LISTING New type telephone numbers will be introduced in the Milford Mil-ford area very soon, according to Gerald Vickers, exchange manager of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. Com-pany. These numbers will be used in connection with the All-Number All-Number Calling plan, which will employ the use of "numerals" "numer-als" instead of the familiar name prefixes. For example, telephone number DUdley 7-9411 7-9411 will be listed as 387-9411. Customers will dial the numbers num-bers the same as they always have, using the same holes in the dial. The only difference being that they will dial "all numbers". There are several incidental advantages in all-number calling call-ing for both the customer and the telephone company, Mr. Vickers said. It removes customer confusion confu-sion which has existed in dialing dial-ing letters and numbers; and it is faster, easier, and more accurate. ac-curate. For the telephone company all-number calling will be a step foreward toward a uniform international numbering plan and it will increase the capacity capa-city of the numbering system bv about thirty per cent.
