The s p e c ia 1 improvement bonds amounting to $160,000 were signed last weekend by J C. Smith and Russel Mayer, and returned to the Continental Bank & Trust Co. at Salt Lake. In addition, more than $12,000 in tax revenues has been remitted re-mitted to the trustees by the county commissioners. Mr. Mayer, hospital board president, announced that Hill-Burton Hill-Burton matching funds (45 of construction cost) have been applied for, and is being processed. pro-cessed. The architect, Ashley Carpenter, will have the plans completed "soon," and construction construc-tion will start in the spring of 1963, after contractors' bids have been examined, and the contract let. "The only delay in starting construction of the new hospital was occasioned by an oversight on the part of either the county coun-ty clerk or the county attorney, attor-ney, in not ordering publication publica-tion of a necessary county ordinance," or-dinance," Mr. Mayer said. "This occasioned a delay of six months from date of the bond election, before the ordinance could be published, and contrary con-trary to rumor, no delay was caused by any county commissioner." |
