Show Notes From the FISH AND GAME According to Conservation Officer Othello Kiley, Utah hunters and fishermen may be selling themselves down the river. This attributes to the fact that sportsmen do not generally gen-erally keep themselves informed inform-ed on matters which affect their sport. To illustrate this matter, Mr. Riley pointed out the dilemma presently faced by the Department Depart-ment of Fish and Game. Costs have risen rapidly in the past few years, and it is becoming difficult to continue present programs on the existing funds. In addition, everyone is demanding de-manding expanded facilities to provide better hunting and fishing, but this is impossible so long as the current situation situa-tion remains unchanged. It was pointed out that the Department of Fish and Game receives no funds from general gen-eral taxation. It is the hunter and fisherman who pay the bill. He called upon all sportsmen sports-men to get the facts before their spoit suffers the consequences. |
