Show Some different formations were formed by the Tigerettes as they marched to drums. They were all dressed in red Capris and white sweatshirts. Red and white pom-poms added a spark of inte-est inte-est and color to the march. Zola Hollingshead was dis charged from the Beaver County Hospital Oct. 18, after being hos pitalized for 13 days with yellow jaundice. Zola will not be able to return to school until January. Janu-ary. She has been working diligently dili-gently to keep up her studies. We will all be glad when she is well enough to return to school again. COMING UP Nov. 4 Seventh grade assembly assem-bly and dance. Nov. 7 Student Council meeting meet-ing after school. Nov. 9 P.-T. A. meeting at 7. Nov. 11 Eighth Grade assembly assem-bly and dance. - Nov. 15 CSU assembly, 2 p.m. Nov 16 Milford Student Coun- cil travels to Dixie. Nov. 18 Junior assembly and dance. M 11 S HI-LIGHTS By the Milford High School Journalism Class Friday night the Milford Tigers Tig-ers succeeded in winning then-last then-last league game of the I960 football season. The Tigers beat he Psro'.van Rams by a score of 3 to 6. In the last few minutes r the first quarter Brad Weston, speedy halfback for the Tigers, ent over for the score. The ex-a ex-a point was missed. At the half ic score stood at 6 to 0 in favor ; :' the Tigers. The third quarter .ought a touchdown by the lams, who missed their extra point and the score was tied at 3 to 6. In the last and final quarter Brad Weston got away from the Parowan Club and went 50 yards for the tally. Mel Wadsworth kicked the xtra point and the score stood at 13 to 6. The Tigers Tig-ers were very happy to be able to give their new coach a win. YEARBOOK DANCE Crowning of Yearbook Royalty was the highlight of the Yearbook Year-book Dance Friday night after the Milford-Parowan game. The Royalty, crowned by members mem-bers of the staff, are: King, Richard Bradshaw; Queen, Barbara Jones; Prince, Terry Lofthouse; Princess, Laura Sherwood. The large crowd at the Victory Dance ate popcorn balls and candied can-died apples and danced to the music of the Jokers Combo. The Yearbook Staff extends their thanks to all who came out. UNITED NATIONS DAY OBSERVED .. Mr. Conklin, State Secretary of the U N Organization, spoke to the student body on the importance import-ance of the United Nations and its functions. He told us about the work of UNICEF an UNES CO. This was one of the most interesting and educational assemblies as-semblies we have had this year. PEP ASSEMBLY The Senior football players were honored at the last pep assembly, as-sembly, Friday, Oct. 28. The boys sat on the stage and said a few words about their past playing experiences. There was a lot of enthusiasm for the game, which resulted in a victory for us. TIGERETTES MARCH The Tigerettes performed a colorful marching display during the halftime of the Milford vs. Parowan game, Friday, Oct. 28. |
