Show CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS SCHEDULED IN COUNTY The U S Civil Service Commission Com-mission has announced the opening open-ing of competitions for student trainee appointments during 1961 in the Federal Civil Service, according ac-cording to an announcement by Walter E. Elder director of the commission's Denver Regional Office. Of-fice. The Federal Government's student stu-dent trainee program, Mr. Elder said, offers college students an opportunity to work in federal agencies in fields which are closely related to their college majors. Its purpose is to increase in-crease the supply of professionally profession-ally trained manpower available to federal agencies in shortage fields. Trainee programs exist in engineering, physics, mathematics, mathemat-ics, accounting, the agricultural sciences and certain fishery and wildlife fields in various federal agencies in Utah and other western west-ern states.
