Show TIGERS GET FIRST WIN IN GRID FINALE Milford's pigskin toters waited until the final game of the '60 season to get their first win, but when they smelled victory after moving ahead in the first period, per-iod, they played a brand of ball that would have won some of the games they lost earlier. In the first quarter, after they were put in scoring position by a 30-yard pass from Dalton to Posey, Brad Weston went over from the 6. Parowan tied it up in the third quarter when Jerry Lamoreaux, on a delay, broke thru left tackle and scooted 40 yards for the counter. The Tigers missed a scoring opportunity when a blocked punt gave them the ball on the Ram 20, but in the final stanza Brad got loose again, on a left tackle play, and raced 50 yards to pay dirt. Mel Wadsworth booted the extra point for a 13-6 victory. |
