Show THIS WEEK IN MERSVILLE By Marybelle Eyre Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wood arrived ar-rived Monday to attend funeral .services for his brother Merton. They left Tuesday for their home in Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Eyre arrived Saturday to spend a few days with Mrs. Nellie Eyre and other relatives. They had been vacationing the past week in nor thern Utah and Yellowstone Park, after taking their daughter Elaine to Provo where she enrolled at the B Y U. A missionary farewell was held Sunday evening for Elder David Williams. The family plans to accompany David to the St George Temple Wednesday. He will enter en-ter the mission 'home Monday, and has been assigned to the New England mission. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Craw spent the past week in Logan visiting vis-iting their sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Craw and Mi. and Mrs. Bert Craw. Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter were in Salt ILake Friday for medical attention. Mrs. Marybelle Eyre attended the Utah Library Convention held in Salt Lake Friday. Mrs. Mildred Martin was released re-leased Sunday from the Milford Hospital, where she underwent a major operation. Her father, Joe Eyre, is in Mapleton visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dotson while Mrs Martin recuperates. Mrs. Edth Bradfield was released re-leased from the Milford 'Hospital Tuesday, following another stay due to her recent operation. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, Leland Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Blackburn were Sunday Sun-day dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stephenson of Cedar City were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre. Other guests included Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Eyre, Mrs. Nellie Nel-lie Eyre, and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gor-don Eyre. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter are putting the finishing touches on Itheir home prior to moving in. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Carter have moved into the Tom Gillins place which they recently purchased. The Minersville race meet held Saturday was deemed a lot of fun and quite successful, with -the committee clearing over $100 to be used for furth- track improvements. improve-ments. Mrs. (Nancy Zaugg returned to Minersville with - her daughter, Mrs. Frieda Wood, following the U E A convention which Mrs. Wood attended over the week end. |
