Show Beaver Citv Dads I Budget Funds for Community Groups Several delegations of Beaver citizens representing various community com-munity groups were made happy at the -regular city council meet-1 ing when the City Dads okehed budgeting requested amounts for their activities in the 1959 expenditures expen-ditures column. Clark Patterson, representing the Little League, obtained a grant of $300 for the Little League operations oper-ations during 1959. $100 was also budgeted for the girls' softball team. The Beaver Booster Club asked help in financing a Beaver brochure bro-chure they plan to publish, anQ were assured of support to the tune of $300. The council took under advisement advise-ment a request from Eslin Beeson, Lions Club president, for an increased in-creased flow of water to the race track, so additional lawn and shrubbery could be planted. The council also approved a franchise for Loran L. Laughlin to distribute gas in Beaver City, and tentatively approved (subject to approval -by attorneys) of a similar franchise for John H. Morgan Mor-gan Jr. |
