Show MILFORD S 1 Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lyman of Parowan were in Milford Friday at the home of a son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edwards. Four-day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Duard Evans were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Evans and four children, Mr. and Mrs. i Howard Sherwood and tnree children, all of American Fork. Mrs. Bertha Evans, who has been visiting in American Fork, also was at the Evans home for the four days. Mr. and Mrs. Carr Wiseman, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wiseman and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wiseman returned ; last Friday from Twin Falls, 1 Idaho, where they had attended j funeral services on Feb. 22 for Carr's father, C. M. Wiseman. UTAHNA LODGE No. 3n3 held their meeting March 7th in the I O O F Hall. During the meeting Lillian Fotheringham was presented with her 25-year continuous service pin by Alton Nielson, president. , A social was held, and bridge prizes were won by Pat Johnson, John-son, and Eva Banks. The committee for the social included Christie Lyman, Winnie Win-nie Johnson, and Lillian Foth-crngham. Foth-crngham. THE UNION PACIFIC Old Timers and Auxiliary held their monthly bingo party at the I (J O F Hall last Saturday evening. eve-ning. During the evening a drawing was held with William Cox winning an electric frying pan. THE LADY TRAINMEN held ther monthly meeting Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Zella Whiteside. Mrs. Janet Root and Mrs. Joyce Coon assisted as-sisted with the entertainment. Prize winners at bridge and pinochle were Mrs. Helen Leech, Mrs. Lcuella Fisher, and Mrs. Phyllis Price. Fourteen members mem-bers were present to enjoy the evening. Mrs. Carlie Waddoups and children of Magill are spending a few days in Milford with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. Wad- VKDNESDAY evening Mrs. Faye Berger had as her guests members of her pinochle . club. A hot lunch was served to Airs. Cards were played after the refreshments. THE E S A Sorority held their regular meeting Monday evening in the Sorority home. The lesson on the U S Government Govern-ment was given by Mrs. Phyllis Symond and Mrs. Verl Horton. President Helen Banks presided over the business meeting. Refreshments were served to Mrs. Beulah Wunderlich, Mrs. Gwen Ogden. Mrs. Rosemary Davie, Mrs. Enid Johnson, Mrs. Selma Kirk, Mrs. Virginia Davis, Da-vis, Mrs. Garnet Garfield, Mrs. Margaret Mahoney, Mrs. Naomi Hughes, Mrs. Loretta Cline, and Mrs. Barbara McGinn. A SURPRISE birthday party was given in honor of Mrs. Ther-,e.ssa Ther-,e.ssa Pitchforth last Wednesday at her home. Hostesses were Mrs. Afton Nielson and Mrs. Flossie Rickersbn. Guests enjoying the evening were Mrs. Marjorie Harton, Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Marvel Con-nell, Con-nell, Mrs. Kale Shingleton, Mrs. Lena Morris, Mrs. Hazel Baxter, Bax-ter, Mrs. Cora Aitman, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. - LaPrele was played- with Mrs. Holm, Mrs. Shingleton and Mrs. Smith receiving the prizes. HORN SILVER CAMP, D U P, held their monthly meeting Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Dick Jones. Capt. Mrs. V. Waddoups conducted the business bus-iness meeting, after which Mrs. Sylvan Munk gave the lesson on Brigham Young's wives and family. Members attending were Mrs. Myron Persons, Mrs. Kent Smith. Mrs. Morgan Griffiths, Mrs. Rue Nielsen, Mrs. Sarah Swindlehurst, Mrs. Florin Bingham, Bing-ham, Mrs. Frank Stewart, Mrs Powell Smyth, Mrs. John Weston, Wes-ton, Mrs. William Baker and Mrs. Fred O'Leary. doups. Mrs. George Sears has been in Salt Lake, where she was called because of the serious illness of her mother. Gary Beddingfield will return re-turn to the U S U in Logan for the spring quarter, after working work-ing three months in Salt Lake. 9 Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Kirk will return to Milford in March after aft-er spending the winter in Van Nuys, Calif. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grayson Gray-son have moved into the Carl Elmer home in South Mlford. Mr. and Mrs. George Sears moved nto the home formerly occupied by the Graysons, and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Kinross moved into the home formerly Milford. Clif Reese, an employe of the Utah State Road Commission,-has Commission,-has been tranferred to Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Whitta-ker, Whitta-ker, who have been living in San Bernardino, Calif.,' for the past year, have returned to Milford. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Terry and Mrs. Ella Jean Terry, all of Paul, Idaho, arrived in Milford last Fridaf, where Mr. and Mrs. Terry visited their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ira M. Fisher, and returned to their home on Tuesday. Ella Jean is at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ella Parkinson, and plans to remain here two weeks. Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre has returned re-turned from Salt Lake where she had been visiting her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mclntyre, and a brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barker. Students attended the C S U will have a four-day vacation between winter and spring quarters. Milford students plan to spend their vacation at home. |
