Show South Utah Teachers Plan Ephraim Meet Preliminary plans for the third annual convention of the Southern Utah Teachers Assn., to be held March 15 at Snow College, were announced today by LaMont L. Bennett, president, presi-dent, of the association. The association includes teachers from the public schools iof South Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield, Kane, Iron, Washington, Beaver, and Millard Mil-lard counties, and the faculties of CSU, Dixie College, and Snow College. Tentative plans include a general gen-eral morning session with Dr.; Royal Garff, University of Utah speech department, as keynote speaker, along with a panel which will discuss public relations rela-tions in the public schools. The afternoon will be taken up by subject area group ' meetings aimed at developing metter coordination co-ordination between grade levels in these various subject fields. Climaxing the day will be a special afternoon performance of the musical "Oklahoma," by the music department of Snow College. At election of officers, scheduled sched-uled during the convention, Richard Bell, principal of the Milford Elementary School, now serving as vice president, will automatically become president. |
