After finishing his carreer as a basketball player for the Wildcats, Harper spent six years living in California working in the family business. One of Harpers most memorial games came when he was a freshman playing in the first round of the NCAA playoffs against New Mexico State. The game went to overtime and Harper was able to pour in 8 points in the extra period helping lead the Wildcats to victory and advancing to the second round of the playoffs against highly ranked Arkansas. "It was a great victory to beat New Mexico State, said Harper. "Our team kept its cool and we really played well together."
