"It also showed that we, as students, care about what's going on in our country." "They (organizers and citi zens) wanted to support individual people that happened to be forced to go over and sit in the desert." "I was very upset when The Signpost did not give that resolution some time in the paper; it wasn't printed at all," he said. 'This campus is dead," he said. Robinson said he has gained some insight about other people while fulfilling his term. "As human beings we can't be put in a corner and the door locked. We'll die," Robinson said. "We are so socially dependent on one another." Being the first university graduate in his family, Robinson thinks it's necessary to be involved, successful and motivated in a university environment. Robinson said he looks forward to the time when his children reach the age when they enter college and he can encourage them to do their best. "I can say, hey, I was there." "I was there as an old man compared to you but this is the way to do it - everything else falls in line," he said. Robinson believes that due to his educational background, experience and being older, he could prove to be valuable to others who might be in the same situation. As a senator, he wanted to assist his constituents to recognize that although returning to school is tough, there is help and people who want to assist you in the situations that are encountered.
