Cecil Rhodes, Alfred Beit and Julius Wernher, with other South African millionaires, are about to develop a gigantic mining enterprise in German West Africa. It is said that gold, silver, sil-ver, copper and lead have been found in abundance within 400 miles of Wal-fisch Wal-fisch bay. One hundred thousand pounds will be spent in prospecting, and then, if the results warrant the outlay, 2,000,000 pounds will be expended ex-pended in constructing a railway.
