Show STATE LAND NOTICE. tinited States Land Otttce, Salt Lake City, Utah, April 9, 1900. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Notice is hereby piven that the State of Utah tiled in this office a list, No. 24, oflands selected by the said State for tile establishment and maintenance of an Insane Asylum, under Seetiou 12 of the Act of Congress approved July 16, 1894. The following tract, embraced in said list, is in a township containing mineral claims of record, viz.: The north half of the northeast quarter of Section fourteen (14), in Township forty'ohe (41), south, and of Range thirteen (13), west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. A copy of said list, by descriptive subdivision, subdivis-ion, so far as it relates to said tract, has been conspicuously posted in this office, for inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and by the public pub-lic generally, During the sixty days next following the date of this notice, under departmental instructions of November 27, 1896, (23 L. D., 459), protests or contests against the claim of the said State o the tract hereinabove described, on the ground that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted for report to the General Land Office at Washington, D. C. Failure so to protest pro-test or contest within the period specified will be. considered sufficient evidence of the non-mineral non-mineral character of said tract, and the selection selec-tion thei-eof, being otherwise free from objection, objec-tion, vfill be recommended for approval.
