Miss Lois Earl and Albert Bunker started for Cedar city yesterday morning, morn-ing, the 26th, to attend the Summer school. Joseph W. Earl returned Wednesday from Cedar city, bringing with him two of our Normal Students, Miss Elethra Earl and Hugh Bunker. Father Edward Bunker and wife returned re-turned on the 27th from Beaverdams, where they have been for' the past few weeks to avoid the warm weather. LOfeiAN' (SAINT JOSEPH.) Mrs. Dazie Perkins leaves for Salt Lake City this morning, the 25th, taking tak-ing with her her father and mother, Ute Perkins and wife. GRAFTON. The boys are busily engaged in stock driving. v J. Stanworth is now living in his new home in town. The weather is again dry and warm. A rain storm would be appreciated. Miss Lizzis Wilson of was visiting vis-iting friends and relatives here the past week. A company of young folks attended the wedding party given by James N. Stanworth and wife on the 18th ult. LITTLEE1ELD. More freight is passing thru here than ever before. The citizens of this place all turned out and helped Brother Hamilton to fence his land; as he is old and feeble he appreciates this help. A. Thompson of Bunkerville passed thru here on the 30th ult. enroute to Salt Lake City on business, and expects to remain there some time. Harvesting of grain crops has commenced. com-menced. The second crop of lucern is ready for cutting. Ripe peaches were picked here on the 25th of May. .LEEDS. The Barbee mill at Silver Reef has resumed work. Weather extremely hot and dry; water getting very low. Joseph Orton and wife of St. George were visiting relatives here Sunday. W. H. Nichols, who has been working work-ing at Grand Gulch for some time, has returned home. Mrs. John Wilkinson and son Harry have gone to Salt Lake City on business; busi-ness; Mrs. Isaac Willis is keeping house in her absence. Elder William Stirling, who has been laboring in the Scottish mission for the past twenty-one months, has returned home on account of the illness of his wife. t.i. m o:k and wife entertained a Misses Lois Earl and Stella Lee of Bunkerville passed thru this town en-route en-route to Cedar city on the 23th ult. number of their most intimate friends Vonday evening, the occasion being their daughter Adelaide's twentieth birthday. Heber Barron and John Nielson have gone to the Parashant ranch. James Humphries and son Frank started north on the 3oth ult. with a load of dried fruit. Mrs. Robert Hammond was called to Pioche last week to attend Mrs. H. Welland. Mrs. George Moody and Miss Liddy Blair of Deer Lodge were visiting here last Sunday Court is in session at Pioche and several of our men have been called as jurymen or as witnesses.
