A letter was received today from Isaac Jennings who has charge of work at the Grand Gulch mine in northern Arizona. Mr. Jennings states that the property is rapidly improving. Drifting is going ahead quite rapidly on the 100-foot level where four distinct ore bodies have been encountered. The opinion prevails that the various seams of ore unite toget her at greater depths. Two of the veins have just been encountered en-countered and their size is not therefore there-fore known. One of the other veins is said to be twelve feet wide, the fourth having a width of about four feet. The ore is said to run very high in the red metal. The present shipment of thirty tons now on the way is said to be the richest consignment yet marketed. It was taken from the 100-foot level. A great deal of ore is also on the dump ready for shipment and the owners feel that a bright future is in store for the Grand Gulnh mine.
