Show ENTERPRISE Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter Wilbur, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Phelps was operated operat-ed on at the Iron county hospital Tuesday for a ruptured appendix. A farewell party was given in the gymnasium Friday night in honor of Wendell Pickering who left Monday for induction into the army. The following program with dancing and visiting was enjoyed. Prayer by Bp. Barlocker; solo, Bert Staheli; reading, Wanda Wan-da Huntsman; solo, Athna Terry; talk, Arthur Jones; accordian solo by Clinton Bowler. Mrs. Merlin Leavitt and small son were visitors over the week end at the home of her mother, Mrs. Rhoda Crawford. She returned return-ed home Tuesday morning taking her mother with her for a few weeks visit. SSgt. Hoyt Adair of Pioche and formerly of Enterprise visited here with relatives and friends on Wednesday. Mr. Adair is home on furlough after having served three years overseas. Mr. and Mrs. George Tait and daughter, Barbara were business visitors here Friday from Caliente, Nevada. Karl Foster, Andrew Alger and Lamond Huntsman were called as jurymen to St. George last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. The High Priests Quorum ol the Uvada stake met in Panaca for a special meeting. A large crowd of High Priests went ovei from here. The Enterprise school teachers attended the teacher's institute ir St. George Saturday. Gae Terry accompanied her father, Marion Terry to Los Angeles. They left here Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Athna Terry made a business trip to St. George last Wednesday. Phyllis Holt spent Friday here from Cedar City where she is n nurse in the hospital. Leah Pickering attended her brother's farewell here Friday. She is living in Cedar City. Mrs. George Clove left here on Monday for Salt Lake City where she expects to meet her husband. They will return home the latter part of the week and George will remain for a short furlough. |
