Show Funeral Services Held Today For LaVon Adams Yho Died Friday HURRICANE, Utah Funeral services for LaVon Adams, 3.6 who died in the L. D. S. hospital after an extended illness. The funera lservices are being held today( Thursday) at 4 p. m.. He had been in the hospital since Friday, Feb. 9. Born in Cedar City, Utah, Aug. 23, 1908, he was a son of Robert D. and the late Jessie Ellen Bill-ingsly Bill-ingsly Adams. He had his schooling school-ing in Cedar City, the family moving to Hurricane when he was a young man. In 1935 he married Miss Hannah Smith of St. Anthony, Anth-ony, Idaho. They have since made their home in Hurricane. While assisting with wood hauling haul-ing in 1938, Mr. Adams suffered a broken neck, from which he had never fully recovered. In 1942 he received additional injuries to his spine, when he was buried under a truck load of sand in an accident. He had gone to the Salt Lake City hospital for treatment treat-ment when his death occurred. Surviving besides his wife are three children, Maxine, 8; James, 6, and Janet, 2, all of Hurricane; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Adams of St. George; three brothers, R. G. Adams of Trindad, Calif., TSgt. Bert Adams in the Southwest Pacific, and Cpl. Rex Adams in Oakland, Calif. ; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene Cutler of Great Falls, Mont., Mrs. Otto Dover of Ogden and Mrs. Martin Sanders Hurricane. |
