Show Sportsmen Plan Shooting And Casting Events For Social Eve., Feb. 28 "Shooting and Casting" contests will highlight their program, when the St. George Federation of Sportsmen hold their membership social on Fef. 28, in the Woodward Wood-ward high gym at 8 p. m. Committees have been named to conduct shooting contests, archery instruction and practice, fly and bait casting instruction and practice, and to provide "some refreshments for the hungry" hun-gry" says their report. Six men have been selected who will choose shooting teams of five members each, who will compete com-pete for honors in the various events. Bows and arrows will be available for those wishing to try their hand at archery. Men who know how to "cast, "the bait" will be present to give Ihe layman the "knack" of that art, and an opportunity op-portunity to try his hand. This promises to be a unique affair, as nothing of its kind has previously been tried in St. George say the sponsors, and add, "We trust that all members will reserve re-serve the evening of Feb. 21 for this social, because we are certain they will regret it if they are not present." |
