Show Dixie College News Tryouts for the Dixie college competitive com-petitive play, "Brother Goose", by William Davidson, were completed Monday afternoon. Those winning parts are: Walter Snow, Jack Crosby, Bevalere Cox, Joan Garner, Glenna Garner, Mona Cox, Millie Workman, Hilma Schmutz and Virgie Goates, all of St. George; Jessie Mae Redd, Blanding; and Laurel Jackson, of Toquerville. The play will be presented late in November and will be directed by Miss Myrtle1 Henderson. D. J. C. Dixie alumni members furnished the program at the college assembly as-sembly last Friday. The exercises were in charge of Mrs. Mae Pace. All the numbers were excellent. New and striking was an orchestra orches-tra group centered around the vibra harp, played by Mrs. Fawn Schmutz. The Dixie quartet also received much praise. D. J. C. New members of the Delta Phi Alpha, music fraternity, are: Elna Gardiner, Mary Wintch, Jessie Jes-sie Mae Redd, Laurel Jackson, Rowa Allen, Dilts Workman, Walter Snow and Mrs. Janice Merrill. They were installed at a meeting of the club last week. D. J. C. Alpine Prince, Dick Foremaster, Russell Neilson, JackMathis, Dick Miles and Lloyd Mathis were elected as officers of the Boys' club last week. President of this club is Darrel Hafen. |
