Show SANTA CLARA Miss Laura Gubler Reporter The Busy Stitchers 4-H club met last Wednesday afternoon at the home of their leader, Mrs. Rena Gubler, where they elected new officers for the summer. Cleopha Gubler was chosen president; Cleo Stucki, vice president; Dorothy Frei, secretary and treasurer; Elaine Graff, song and cheer leader; lead-er; Agnes Frei, club reporter and Dorothy Reber, commissioner of amusements. Seven of the ten members were present. An outside cottage meeting was held Sunday evening under the direction of stake missionaries Lorenzo Leavitt and John M. Stucki. Speakers for the evening were Mrs. Melvin Bryant, Mrs. Erastus Higgins and John M. Stucki. Mr. and Mrs. Harvev Stucki are spending a few days at Los Angeles. Mrs.. George Tobler left Saturday Satur-day for Salt Lake City to visit with her daughter, Mrs. Louis Coulam. Marvin and Elaine Graff returned re-turned from Tooele, where they spent the past few weeks with Mrs. Graff's parents. Mrs. Graff remained with them for the summer. sum-mer. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reber and Mrs. LaVell Jarrit of Las Vegas, were visitors here Sunday with relatives. Mrs. John Freelove and twin babies returned to her home at Good Springs, Nevada, after a month's visit here. Clayton Frei left for Santa Monica, Calif., where he has joined the Douglas Aircraft company com-pany for training. Mrs. Karl JMeilson came in Monday Mon-day from Nelson, Nevada, to visit with her father, Charles Hafen. Geraldine Hafen is visiting with relatives at Panaca, for a week. |
