Short Creek Holds First Double Wedding Recorded In Its History SHORT CREEK, Arizona The first double wedding recorded in the history of Short Creek occurred oc-curred last week when Miss Ar-leen Ar-leen Jessop became the bride of David R. Bateman and Miss Clea Black married Joseph I. Barlow. The date of the marriage was not reported. Miss Jessop is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vergil Y. Jessop, formerly of Glendale, Utah and Mr. Bateman is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel R. Bateman. Miss Black is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Black and Mr. Barlow Bar-low is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Y. Barlow. Mr. Bateman is to leave Feb. 12, with Arnold Adair, former deputy sheriff of Mohave county, for military induction.
