Show Flyers and Rams To Play Here Friday; Dixie Loses To Valley High The Dixje high school basketball team meets the Parowan Rams here Friday night in a league game. The Flyers will have to win this one to stay out of the cellar. For the first time since Dixie and Orderville have been competing compet-ing in the Dixie league, the Valley boys defeated the Flyers on the local floor. This was accomplished last Saturday night 34-30. Dixie took an early lead and seemed destined to win by a walkaway. The Valley boys began to hit the hoop during the second quarter, however, and were not to be denied. In spite of Dixie's loss the game proved a very interesting interest-ing one to the fans. Hurricane also took it on the cRin at Hurricane Saturday night, when the Enterprise Eagles won 38-18. This places Enterprise in second place with the Cedar City Redmen. Kanab remained undefeated unde-feated in five starts by downing Hurricane at Kanab last Friday 28-18. In other league contests Friday Enterprise trimmed Orderville Order-ville 53-26 at Enterprise and Cedar City swamped Parowan on the latter's court 44-9. Kanab played at Orderville on Wednesday, but the score is not yet available. Tomorrow Enterprise plays at Kanab. This game should decide whether the Eagles are still to be considered title contenders. Enterprise also Jias another hard game at Orderville Saturday night. |
