Show Dixie College News Seven Dixj,e Students won honors in shorthand recently. Erma Woodbury topped the list by taking dictation at the rate of 130 words a minute. Norma Jean Paolasso was able to do 120 words, with Jeraldine Anhder, Blanche Bennett, Eula Mae Earl, ' Barbara McMullin and Melva Rene Woodard doing 100 words. D. J. C. Elaine Cannon recently represented repre-sented Dixie at a unique gathering of prospective home economics instructors in Logan. The students stu-dents exchanged ideas in a series of discussions. The main guest speaker of the occasion was Miss Fern Starr, acting dean of women at the U. S. A. C, and a former graduate of the Dixie college. Following the workshop, the girls were conducted on a tour of the U. S. A. C. campus and were entertained at a tea by the college col-lege faculty. Girls from all parts of Utah and from Southern Idaho were in attendance. D. J. C Howard L. Gee, representing the Veterans Rehabilitation and G. I. programs, was a visitor at the college recently. |
