Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter Ward conference was held here on Sunday with Edwin Wells of the stake presidency and Supt. Seymour Fish of the high council in attendance. Both gave interesting inter-esting talks. Other features of interest included the presentation of awards to six members of the Aaronic priesthood. The boys were Dixie Leavitt, Glen Waite, Clair Leavitt and Owen Bunker of the teachers group and Gayle and Marion' Leavitt of the Deacons. Dea-cons. There were piano solos by Nancy Hoover and Claudia Waite. Kent Bunker, Reed Leavitt , and Rowel Leavitt left Monday for Fort Douglas for their pre-in-duction examinations. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Leavitt and family recently sold their home in Las Vegas and have bought the Al Thompson ranch about eight miles below Bunkerville. Miss Marva Bunker, who is employed in Las Vegas, spent Sunday with her father, Hector Bunker. Mrs. Amy Leavitt of Las Vegas visited over Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Thomas Adams. The four year old son of Mrs Charma Murry accidentally hac a stick run into his eye recently He was rushed to St. George foi treatment where the stick was removed re-moved and it was found that the eye was not seriously injured. Roj Waite, Mrs. Murry's father, accompanied ac-companied them to St. George. The high school held a poerr contest here recently. Nita Ra Reber, a junior won first place Marion Leavitt second, and Haze Waite third. Miss Reber also woi first place in the contest last year |
