Show Miss Delia Kendall Takes Feed Post In Washington County Miss Delia Kendall of Nephi, Utah has been assigned by the Board of Trustees of the Utah State Agricultural College, to fill the position of Food Preservation worker for Washington county, reports Anson B. Call, Jr., county agricultural agent. Miss Kendall replaces Miss Doris Hughes who, after serving 5 months, left last October to be married and now resides in South Carolina with her husband, Mr. Johnson, who has returned from 35 months of service in the South Pacific. Graduate of U. S. A. C. in 1940, Miss Kendall had served as library li-brary clerk to help pay for her education. She has her B. S. degree de-gree in home economics with a major in foods and a minor in clothing. Since graduating, she taught home economics and served serv-ed as Junior Clerk and assistant clerk at Hill Field War department. depart-ment. She has also been an active home economics club member at school and an active participant in the various church organizations organiza-tions and community recreation activities through the extension service of Juab county. She is a sister of Mrs. Wayne Hinton of Hurricane, the former Jean Kendall, who taught home economics in Hurricane high school. Both have been active Four-H club leaders. They come from a family who have been actively interested in practical education and practical living. Miss Kendall attended the home economics extension service school at U. S. A. C. on Jan. 2. 1945. and began her work in Washington county Jan. 26. |
