Show HEY HARMONY Sirs. O. Hammond Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Whitehead of St. George are here spending the week with relatives. New Harmony P T A officers gave the town children a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en dancing party Tuesday evening. Refreshments were served ser-ved following the program. Guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbrey is Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Prisbrey of St. George. The New Harmony school presented pre-sented a Hallowe'en play last Wednesday. Mrs. Susan A. Pace left Saturday Satur-day morning for Ogden where she wijl spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Macfarlane and Mrs. Merle Olsen and her son, Clark Pace. Relief Society ward conference was held Sunday afternoon. Stake officers in attendance were Mrs. Barbara M. Adams, president of Parowan, and Berneice Linford, class leader from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Kelsey arrived home Sunday. Mr. Kelsey has just returned from two years service overseas. Mrs. Ashby Pace was badly burned about the face last week when a tightly lidded gallon can of boiling water exploded. Mrs. Carol P. Williams and two children of Cedar City were week end guests of the Reese Davis'. Maurine Prince, Merilyn Mathis, Boyd and Gordon Pace, all of whom are attending the B A C, 'spent the week end at home. (Held Ovw from Last Week) Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dostalek received re-ceived announcement over the j week end of the birth of a son to Capt. and Mrs. Dostalek of Cleve- j land, Ohio, Friday, Oct. 26. Capt.; Dostalek is their son and is en- 1 route home, after nine months in 1 the Pacific. He is returning by plane. Lt. and Mrs. George Dostalek were visiting here the past ten days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dostalek. He returned recently from three years service overseas, where he participated in some pretty tough battles. He was hospitalized several months due to wounds received in action. The hospital in which he was stationed station-ed was ttombed several times by the Germans. He and his wife are now in California visiting his brother Manuel who is attending school there. Another brother. William, who has been in Uncle Sam's service eight years, was home on a short visit and is now in New York where he was married mar-ried recently. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spencer of Salt Lake City were guests over the deer season of Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Pace. Mark and Riley Adair, son of .Mrs. Adelia Adair Lunt, arrived recently from Europe, having served in France and Germany. They are now visiting relatives in California. ' Mrs. Albert Mathis returned Saturday from visiting for ten days with relatives in the north. Mrs. Esther Wood of Las Vegas spent the week end here visiting John Mack is home from three weeks in the Iron county hospital, having had a broken ankle. |
