Show UTAH LION HUNTING TO BE FEATURED LN 'Tins WEEK' Mr. and Mrs. Larue (Smokey) Emett are bringing national fame to Southwestern Utah, with their unique lion-hunting expeditions. Miss Helen Worden (Mrs. John Erskine in private life) arrived Tuesday from New York City to write a feature article for This Week Magazine on the Emetts and their adventurous lives. With Miss Worden was Fred LaTour, of Pasadena, California, one of the best-known color photographers in the country. He made pictures of an actual lion hunt. This hunt which took place Thursday, was particularly fortunate fortun-ate in that a lion was shot the first day by Scott W. Hayes, of Bloomington, 111. It was cornered at the end of the day on the ledges back of Pine Valley Mountain. Moun-tain. Incidentally, it was the first lion Mr. Hays had shot. |
