Show DR. PAUL POPENOE WELL RECEIVED The increasing attendance at the successive lectures given over Monday and Tuesday at the Family Fam-ily Life Institute conducted under the direction of the State and Inal oHnr-ntinnat unit; naid tri- 1 bute to Dr. Paul Popenoe and his ability to hold the interest of his audience both young and old, states Milton E. Moody County superintendent. Besides forenoon and afternoon sessions both days, which were attended at-tended by both students and townspeople generally, there was an evening session Monday at Hurricane, which more than 300 people of the east end of the county attended, and a concluding session in the St. George stake Tabernacle Tuesday evening with more ' than 600 present. The schools assisted with music numbers num-bers at each of the sessions. According to Miss Edith Hazen, head of the department of home economics of the State Board of education, who was responsible for obtaining the services of Xr. Popenoe for the Family Life Institute, In-stitute, sessions of which were held throughout the state, the Washington county meetings were outstanding, both as to school and public cooperation, and the interest inter-est manifest. She joins with Milton Mil-ton E. Moody, county superintendent, superinten-dent, Glenn E. Snow, president of Dixie junior college and other local school officials in expressing expres-sing appreciation for the support' given and the good accomplished. |
