Show HEW HARMONY Mrs. L. Mathis Reporter A convention for the fire fighters Ihi' Dixie National forest was hi'M here last Thursday. The program pro-gram consisted of a meeting in 1 hi' forenoon and at noon a dinner furnished by the New Harmony people .served under the direction j of the ward committee. In the afternoon demonstrations on fire-li'hline; fire-li'hline; were given by the forest officials. Our Sunday school was visited Sunday by stake representatives Florn Williams and Mrs. LaVon Anderson of Cedar City. Miss Marilyn Mathis returned Tuesday from Fairfield after spending two weeks there with her sister, Mrs. Fae Dubois. Mrs. Idonna Webb and children and Mrs. Bert Truman of St. (ieorge were visiting here Sunday. Roma Mathis and Camilla Pace left Tuesday for Provo where they have employment. F.lmo Englestead of Las Vegas was in town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lylo B. Prince and children, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Kelsey Jr., Reed Prince and Dean Hall are enjoying a fishing trip at the Enterprise reservoir. Mrs. Horace Hall and children of Cedar City are spending a few days with Mrs. Hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Prince. Mrs. Lula Mathis entertained the D. U. P. members at their regular meeting last Thursday. She was assisted by Mrs. Venice Prince. Mrs. Juanita Brooks of St. George was a visitor. Mrs. Nancy Smith of St. George is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Esta Taylor and Mrs. Evelyn Adair. Thursday evening a party was given honoring Mark Adair, son of Mrs. Susie Adair Lunt, who is home on furlough from an Army camp in Florida. A program, dancing and refreshments were' the order of the evening. Scout Leader, Dee Farnsworth and his Boy Scouts enjoyed a swim in the Cedar City swimming pool Saturday afternoon. |
