Show TinFyalley Mrs. E. S. Beckstrom Reporter Fishing season opened rather quietly this year, the numbers of fishermen being greatly reduced, as a result of war conditions. Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Jones and daughters, Margaret and Henrietta Hen-rietta of Cedar City spent Sunday-visiting Sunday-visiting at the home of Mrs. Jones' father, Reuben Gardner. Pres. Glenn Snow spent the week end at his home here with his family. Miss Mary Judd of St. Georee was the week end guest of her sister, Mrs. Clawson Burgess. Miss Roma Snow, who is employed em-ployed in St. George spent Sunday Sun-day visiting with her father, Levi Snow. Miss Dorothy Snow spent the week end with her grandmother, Mrs. Effie Snow. She was en- route to her home in Santa Monica, Calif., from Provo, where she attended the B. Y. U. during the past winter. Malin Cox, Effie Snow and daughters, Linna and Bessie were among those who attended conference confer-ence in St. George on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Malin Cox are having some remodeling and repairing re-pairing done on their home here. Bert Cheney and son, of Veyo, land Alfred Morris of St. George I are doing the work. I Mrs. E. J. Bleak is confined to her bed at her home in St. George with an infected throat. I Edgar and Amos Beacham were business visitors in Newcastle last Saturday. Supervisor Albertson, Ranger Johnson, Mr. Favre of the Ogden Forest office, Bruce Snow and E. S. Gardner are busy now making mak-ing a range survey. Mrs. Bruce Snow returned from St. George on Friday where she had been to help care for her mother, Mrs. Ida Seegmiller, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Ralston Barber and Miss Edna Rae Gardner spent Saturday in St. George on business. Word has been received that Miss Adelia Hall has arrived safely at her destination. She is now attending Smith college at Northampton, North-ampton, Mass. She reports a very pleasant trip and is enjoying her work in training for the WAVES. Miss Verle Hall is employed at Hill Field, Ogden. |
