Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter Miss Pauline Leavitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Leavitt and Neil Leavitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Leavitt were married June 9th in the St. George Temple. Friday evening, parents of the young couple gave a wedding reception re-ception in their honor. A farewell party was held Saturday Sat-urday evening in the school gymnasium gym-nasium for Mr. and Mrs. Randy Leavitt and Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Waite, who are leaving to make their home in various parts of Idaho. Musical numbers were furnished by Erma and Randy Leavitt, Pauline Leavitt and a double trio by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leavitt, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Leavitt and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Leavitt. Each of the guests of honor made short speeches and each couple was presented with a gift of remembrance by Bishop Austin Hunt. Dancing followed the program after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr, and Mrs. D. M. Leavitt have as their guests this week, their grandchildren, who are on their vacation, Miss Norma Leavitt of Alamo; Miss Willa Brooks of St. George; Miss Norma Jean Allen of Phoenix and the Misses Gwen and Ina Reber of Mesquite. Cecil Murray is recovering from injuries he received at the Acme dairy recently. Mr. Murray was wiping a belt on the compressor, when his fingers caught and he was thrown across the room, where he received severe gashes above each eye. He was rushed to St. George for medical care. Mrs. Erma Leavitt visited Tuesday Tues-day in Las Vegas. Lorin Leavitt took a group of boys fishing Monday to Mead lake. Four-H club work has started for the summer. Kay Bunker is instructor for the boys. Mrs. Agnes Ag-nes Leavitt and Mrs. Olive Hardy are responsible for the instruction for the girls. Moapa stake conference was held at Logandale last Sunday. Apostle Marion G. Romney was the representative from Salt Lake City. Several carloads from here attended. Farmers are busy putting up their second crop of hay. Grain harvesting is completed. Vern Waite, who has attended the B. Y. U. the past winter is home on vacation. He returned to resume his work on Monday. He is specializing in dental work. |
