Show Miss Norma Hansen Shower The McQuarrie Memorial hall reception re-ception room furnished a pleasing setting for the miscellaneous shower held Monday evening honoring hon-oring Miss Norma Hansen, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hansen of St. George, who is shortly to become the bride of Ted Warthen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Warthen of Cedar City. A mixed group of relatives and friends from Leeds, where the Hansen's formerly lived, along with stake missionary associates of Miss Hansen and their partners and other specially invited guests, made up the crowd of 56 who were present. The program included instrumental instru-mental numbers by Wm. T. Morris Mor-ris Jr., and Mrs. G. D. Hyatt; vibra harp solos by Mrs. Evan J. Pickett accompanied by Mrs. Mae A. Pace; humorous readings, Violet Gray of Central; and Mrs. Minnie Harris of Leeds; vocal solos, Reed H. Blake and Joy . Hansen; a stunt, "Hats for Util- ity", Marie Pickett, Valrea Hafen and Esther Judd; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Morris; remarks by Charles E. Allen, stake mission mis-sion president, and a stunt, directed di-rected by Mrs. Eleanor Smith, featuring a mock-wedding ceremony. cere-mony. Following the program, light refreshments re-freshments were served and the bride-elect opened her many shower gifts. |
